What is the difference between Equality and Fairness?

When you say equality, this means that you have to be the same in terms of status, value, and also quantity. When you say fairness, this means that you have to be unbiased with all of the things that are being given to you. When you say equality, this means that you would have to give everyone the same treatment regardless of what their gender is. You also have to give them the same treatment regardless of their sexual orientation or their race. With fairness, you just want to give everyone an equal chance of achieving what you think they would need to achieve soon. Remember that to be fair, you need to make sure that you will always give them chances.

Some people may assume that equality and fairness are the same, but actually, these two are a bit different from each other. When you say equality, this means that everyone will be given the same amount or a fair amount of whatever they need, no matter what their age, gender, or race is. When you say fairness, this means that you are going to give someone what he/she deserves. For example, you know that one of your employees is putting on a lot of work for a team project.

When you would like to practice equality, you are going to give the same incentives to that employee and the rest of the team. When you are going to use fairness, this means that you are going to give the employee what he/she deserves because he/she has placed more effort into doing something for the company.
