One thing that you should realize is that amongst and among mean the same thing. If you would need to use a word, “among” is considered to be the more common version especially if you are going to use American English. The word “among” is also the older version of the word because this has been used even in the Old English time. The word “amongst” only became popular during the middle times. Take note that the word “amongst” is considered to be more common in British English. Knowing these details will allow you to choose which word you should use depending on where you are.
