One thing that you have to realize is that ghosts are considered to be one of the supernatural entities that people are familiar with. According to experts, ghosts are known to be spirits of people who have already passed on. Some of them would like to take care of their loved ones. Poltergeists, on the other hand, are different in the sense that they are usually malevolent. This means that they may be troubled. There are times when they would really haunt people for a long time. They would always try to make their presence known. Some say that poltergeists may be centered on certain people and would sometimes drive people out of their homes.

There are a lot of people who think that ghosts and poltergeists are the same but actually, they are not. When you say a ghost, this is known to be an entity that may sometimes be seen by people who have opened their “third eye.” A poltergeist is a type of ghost but the main difference is that this ghost will always make its presence known. It seems that a poltergeist will usually become fixated with one person and the different events that will manifest will center on that person. A poltergeist will always make it a point to show his/her presence. Between the two, hauntings by a poltergeist are considered to be less common as compared to the hauntings that are made by ghosts.

A ghost and a poltergeist share a lot of things in common; however, they are still different from each other. A ghost is usually referred to as the spirit of a deceased person. This spirit appears after the death of an individual. It is believed ghosts are spirits of individuals who refuse to leave this world. On the other hand, a poltergeist can also be regarded as a ghost which causes disruptions and makes noises.

However, a poltergeist also means a living body who is controlling different forms of energy unknowingly. It is believed that a ghost can still show up physically and in other forms, however, a poltergeist does not appear physically but can only make its presence known to people around by causing disruptions.

Due to the nature of their activity, ghosts are believed to be passive spirits of the departed, and that they have only refused to leave this world because of some assignments they need to carryout. In contrast, poltergeists are considered to be aggressive spirits of those who got killed in a gruesome manner.

Ghost and poltergeists have some similarities between them, but they are not the same. The activity of a ghost-like nature is known as haunting, while the activity of a poltergeist nature is known as a disturbance. One of the factors that also set the differences between these two entities is their origins.

Ghost is generally recognized as dead men that their spirit refuses to leave the earth (the realm of the living). They usually appear in several different forms, such as complete bodies, foggy mists, and transparent entities. Poltergeists are generally known as forms of energy that a living person unknowingly controls.

Poltergeists are known to appear by influencing or moving a human. Meanwhile, ghosts do not need to influence anyone; they just appear. So, this can make a ghost to be seen, but you cannot see a poltergeist. Ghosts are entities that might not necessarily be dangerous, but poltergeists are known to be generally dangerous.

The paranormal world is used to describe events that occur that are unable to be explained. Ghost and poltergeists are two aspects of this paranormal world. Ghosts can occur and manifest actions anywhere.

When it comes to ghosts, people can have different beliefs about them. Some believe that ghosts are people they love stuck following them around. Others feel that ghosts are haunting figures.

Poltergeists are known to be more haunting figures. They tend to focus on one place or maybe stuck in just one place, while ghosts are believed to have the ability to move around from places.

Some people may assume that ghosts and poltergeists are the same, but there are some differences that will help you distinguish one over the other. A ghost can usually manifest almost everywhere. There are some who say that ghosts may get stuck in places that they used to love when they were alive. Some also say that there are some ghosts that may haunt those who have done them wrong.

Poltergeists have a tendency to be mischievous. There are also times when they can already cause harm to those that they are haunting. Some poltergeists can manifest because of their fixation with one person, or sometimes, they may also get fixated at a certain place.
