When you say airborne precautions, you are referring to the type of precautions that you need to follow against the airborne transmission of some infectious agents. Take note that when you are following airborne precautions, you are not going to be protected against some diseases such as measles, chickenpox, and SARS. When you say droplet precautions, these are the precautionary measures that you need to take whenever there are patients that are suspected to become infected with pathogens that come from droplets. This means that a patient may be coughing, sneezing, or even talking with other people.

When you say airborne transmission, this means that the disease will be able to spread without direct contact. The virus or the bacteria will have the ability to spread since it is in the air. There are some that are deadlier than others because they can stay on the air for a longer period of time. For droplet precautions, the infection can spread through some large droplets that are present in the air. Usually, this will happen when people cough and sneeze. There are instances when the droplets will be available on certain surfaces. Once again, the virus or the bacteria from the droplets may stay on surfaces for a certain period of time.

Airborne and droplet precautions are two measures put in place to stop the spread of diseases. Airborne precautions are measures or practices used to curtail the spread of diseases that are transmitted through air. With these measures, the spread of disease causing agents that are suspended in the air can be stopped.

Droplet precautions, on the other hand, are measures and practices used to curtail the spread of diseases that are transmitted through droplets. The spread of some infectious diseases that are easily transmitted and contracted through droplets can be stopped with droplet precautions. Airborne precautions are intended to prevent the entry of infectious diseases through the respiratory system.

In contrast, droplet precautions will help stop the spread of diseases through nose, mouth, and other conjunctive areas. Droplet precautions require the use of protective gear like gloves and clothing, whereas airborne precautions do not. Due to the nature of airborne diseases, patients suffering from them need to be isolated.

Airborne precautions are referred to as a kind of prevention method that is seen in the spread of infectious agents when it is found suspended in the air. The droplet precautions refer to the measures that are taken, preventing the spread of some infectious diseases that are with droplets.

These two measures are used to serve the same purpose, which is to prevent the spread of diseases, which can be of harm to society. Airborne infections refer to those that are associated with transmission through flying pathogens in the wind. On the other hand, droplets are associated with the spread of diseases in the droplet precautions.

These droplets are infected through the mouth, nose, and mucous membranes. The airborne precautions are basically taken to prevent agents from entering the respiratory system. The droplet precautions require gloves and protective clothing, while airborne precautions do not.

Airborne precaution is known to be the precautionary measures that you have to take when a disease is airborne. An airborne disease will usually travel through the air. There is a big possibility that the germ or the virus that will cause the disease can travel by air whenever a person who is infected speaks.

There are different airborne diseases right now but some of the popular ones are chickenpox and tuberculosis. A droplet precaution is a precautionary measure that will be done when a sick person coughs or sneezes. The droplet from the infected person may enter through any opening of an otherwise healthy person and become infected too.

Airborne precautions are defined as the prevention method in the spread of infectious agents when it is being held in the air. The droplet precautions are the actions taken in stopping the spread of diseases with droplets. These two measures operate for the same reasons, which are to halt the spread of conditions that can potentially be dangerous to the health of the community.

When it comes to the isolation process, the airborne precautions would include this room that is equipped with individual air handling and ventilation devices. Airborne precautions require special ventilation and air control facilities. The droplet precautions are favored to be isolated in an area that is a single room per patient.

This procedure is to prevent the association of the contacted person from infecting and spreading the disease to others by touching them. Droplet precautions require special clothing such as gloves and gowns when treating a patient, while airborne diseases don't.
