DDR5 (Double Data Rate 5 ) and DDR3 (Double Data Rate 3) are two types of Random Access Memory (Ram) that are available in the market. DDR5 and DDR3 look very similar apart from some little differences in their functions. DDR5 is usually regarded as the next generation of a memory type i.e., RAM that falls under SGRAM. DDR5 is the newer version of the two, and that is why most people consider it to be better than DDR3.

One of the differences between the two is the nature of bandwidth that comes with the two. DDR5 comes with higher bandwidth compared to DDR 3, and that is why you get more data or information transferred to someone within a shorter period of time when you use DDR5. One of the advantages which DDR3 has over DDR 5 is that the former can be used in PCs, whereas the latter can only be used in Graphics Processing Units (GPU).
