A moped and a motorcycle are both power-assisted bikes. A moped has a simple design and performance when compared to a motorcycle. It also has smaller tires than the tires a motorcycle uses. Mopeds are shorter, smaller vehicles with smaller tires. Mopeds are not able to move at high speeds like a motorcycle.

The highest speed of a moped is 30 miles per hour on surface levels. Mopeds are designed for people who need practice riding before they take the next step toward a motorcycle. A motorcycle is a much more sophisticated piece of riding equipment. A motorcycle is a two-wheeled vehicle that possesses an engine of 150CC or more.

Even the smallest motorcycles are more significant than the biggest mopeds. Motorcycles can also much higher speeds. However, they also require stricter rules and regulations. To own and operate a motorcycle, you need a license from the state motor vehicle licensing agency.
