True north is the direction of a meridian of longitude which converges on the north pole. Magnetic north is the direction shown by a magnetic compass. Magnetic north moves slowly with a variable rate and is currently west of grid north. Declination is the disparity between true north and magnetic north, and this bridges the gap between the two.
Magnetic north is always in perpetual motion. Magnetic north is different than true north because it is not land-based, and the two have never been at the same location. True north is the interior compass that pilots you successfully through life. True north speaks to who you are as a human being at your deepest, most vulnerable level.
