Coronavirus disease, also known as COVID- 19, is a disease caused by a newly discovered strain of coronavirus. This virus has led to the death of many. Also, a lot of people have recovered quickly from the viral infection. This viral infection affects a person’s respiratory system and shows symptoms from mild to severe. It may take up to 2-14 days for symptoms to develop.

Symptoms may include fever, dry cough, shortness of breath, tiredness, aches, and pains, sore throat, diarrhea, nausea, or a runny nose. Severe pneumonia or bronchitis can be seen in those with weak immune systems, which are most likely to be the adults. Most people affected by the COVID-19 virus are majorly older adults. However, children can be affected. COVID-19 spreads when an infected person coughs or sneezes, through discharge from the nose or droplet of saliva.

Coronavirus is also known right now as COVID 19. This is a type of respiratory disease that can affect people of all ages, although this can be deadlier among people who are over the age of 60. This can also be deadly for those who have compromised immune systems. There is no vaccine that can prevent this condition. Basically, this type of virus usually targets the respiratory system. Those who experience symptoms of this may usually feel different symptoms that will make them feel like they have the flu. Then, when things take a turn for the worse, they may usually begin to show some signs of having trouble breathing.

Last year, many would not have been familiar with the illness that is a coronavirus, but now it is a virus that is sweeping across the world and changing our everyday lives. Coronavirus is not just one virus. It is a family of viruses. The type of virus that is impacting our lives now is called COVID-19.

Symptoms of COVID-19 include persistent high fever, having trouble breathing, and a dry cough. These symptoms normally show up after 14 days of being exposed to the virus. At this time, there is no vaccine for the virus and has led to many people with immune issues to be severally sick or, unfortunately, die.

Coronavirus is a member of viruses known as coronaviridae i.e., viruses that consist of a single strand of RNA in their genome. Reptiles, birds, and mammals mostly contract coronaviruses. Human beings can also contract this disease, and it can be transmitted from one person to another, and that is why it is regarded as a contagious disease.

When respiratory droplets from an infected person drop on any surface through sneezing and coughing, a healthy person can contract the disease via the mouth or nose. Also, if a healthy person stays close to an infected person within the range of 6 feet, respiratory droplets from such inflected person could land in the nose or mouth of a healthy person that is very nearby.

Coronavirus disease is a new disease for humans, and it is currently ravaging the whole world. The increasing rate at which people are getting this disease is due to the fact the virus causing it spreads easily, especially in some geographical areas.
