ADA and Section 504 are two examples of civil right statutes which are included in the constitution of the United States of America towards ensuring that those with any form of disabilities are not deprived of some benefits. The intention behind the creation of the two laws is the reason why both look very similar.
However, there are some differences between the two. First, section 504 was passed into law in 1973 by congress, and it is only meant to help those who history of impairment, or those with any form of mental and physical impairment, get financial assistance from the federal.
ADA (American with Disabilities Act) was passed into law to make more provisions available to those with disabilities. With ADA, disabled people can get financial assistance from the federal and state government, and they can also get financial assistance from any privately owned establishment. People with health issues like HIV and other dangerous diseases are also covered under ADA.
