A lot of people do not realize that deny and refuse words that can be used differently. When you say refuse, this means that you cannot take what is being offered to you. This means that you do not want to accept what is being given to you or what is happening to you. For example, you refuse to accept that your loved one is leaving you.
When you say deny, this means that you are not giving permission for something to take place. For example, you may deny your child getting chocolates because it is already late at night. You may also deny the request for a paid leave from an employee who is always absent.
