Anemia is known to be caused by not having enough hemoglobin. There are a lot of people who assume that this is the same with iron deficiency. Take note that while there is a condition wherein the two can be considered to be connected to each other.

When a person has iron deficiency, this means that he may not have enough iron, but his hemoglobin levels still remain to be the same. Anemia may be caused by various conditions such as infections or even blood loss.
