EIGRP stands for Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol while OSPF stands for Open Shortest Path First. The protocol type of the two is different from each other. EIGRP makes use of a hybrid protocol while OSPF uses the link to state. The algorithm of the two is also different from each other. EIGRP makes use of Dual distance-vector while OSPF makes use of the Dijkstra link state. The administrative distance that is needed to make them work are also different from each other. For the EIGRP, you need to use 90 for internal while it is also possible to use 170 for external. For OSPF, there is only one standard distance that you can use, which is 110.
