The Nikon D3100 is an enhanced and upgraded version of the Nikon series; it is an upgrade on Nikon D300. The D310 has 14 megapixels compared to the sense of Nikon D3000, which has 12 megapixels. Another important upgrade gat D3100 has is in the live view that was introduced into it. The live view is a common feature that is present in cameras regarded as point and shoot.

The D3000 has no live view; therefore, the photographers would have to get into some sort of awkward position in order to frame up the object to capture properly through the viewfinder. Also, the D3100 has the ability to record videos to a resolution that is up to 720p, while D3000, on the other hand, is not even capable of shooting videos at all; it is limited to shooting skills. D3100 has an automatic aberration correction, while D3000 does not.
