A home can be explained as a place, a state whereby one can secure refuge and have a sense of safety and comfort. While a house is basically the structure and framework which serves the only purpose of being a place where a person or a group of people or a family can inhabit and live.

A home is also explained as a place where an individual has a sense or feeling of belonging, a place filled with fond memories, and also where one can feel very comfortable, happy and safe while a house could just be only the building that someone lives in whether permanently or temporarily. While both of them, house and home, may actually point to place of abode or dwelling place, a home is actually more warm and welcoming, and the love and happiness in the home are actually overflowing, this joy and happiness could actually be lacking in a house.
