The Internet and intranet look so much alike that you might start thinking there is no difference between the two. The truth is there are little differences between the two. We all know what the internet is; the only confusion you might be having is what intranet stands for. You can be reading this simply because you are connected to the internet. The Internet is a set of computer networks that can be used in any part of the world.

The Internet has turned the whole world into a small village where you can easily get in touch with people anytime you like. The same mechanism is used in creating an intranet. An intranet is any private computer network, and it is designed to work like the internet. This technology is mostly used by companies.

An intranet is used to connect everybody working in a company. With technology, people can easily interact with one another without meeting face to face. An employee can get in touch with his boss on any matter without leaving his office. The Internet is quite available to everyone once you're connected, but the intranet is meant to be used by limited people.
