What is the difference between Erosion and Weathering?

Erosion is the action of the surface processes, such as wind and water flow, which removes rock, soil, or dissolved material from one location to another. There are many types of erosion. These include gravity, which means objects that are pulled downhill. An example of this is when ice scrapes up free substances and pushes it ahead of them. Shoreline erosion is the rock, and sand on the shoreline travels through waves. Objects are loosened and carried away by water. Weathering is the breakdown of rocks, minerals, and soil via contact with the earth's atmosphere. There are different kinds of weathering, including dissolution, the rainwater is marginally acidic, and this acid starts to break down hard rock gradually. Another example is hydration, which is when hydrogen and oxygen ions from water molecules glom onto rock minerals. This process often leads to breaking and cracking.
