A few significant differences exist between Anabaptist and Southern Baptist. One of the differences in the emphasis of salvation by southern Baptists versus emphasis on discipleship by anabaptists. Southern Baptists believe that a person cannot fall from the grace and mercy of the Lord if they have acknowledged Jesus Christ as their savior. Baptists share the fundamentals of all Christian faiths. Baptists believe that everything they have comes from God; therefore, it belongs to God. Anabaptists were one of the man groups that arose in Europe, along with Calvinists and Lutherans. Anabaptists eventually branched off into numerous sects, including Amish and Mennonites. Anabaptists teach that they must first believe in the gospel before accepting baptism. They do not baptize infants for this reason. Anabaptists also believe in separation from the world. Hence, the Amish don’t have electricity in their homes. The word Anabaptists means one who baptizes again.
