Sulfides and oxides are both inorganic compounds that may have some differences that you want to know. Sulfides obviously contain sulfur while oxides are compounds that are made with oxide anions. There are also instances when oxides also contain oxygen. Quartz is considered to be a type of oxide but you also have to remember that this does not come with oxygen.

Instead, this comes with other metallic compounds that will make them all unique. The different mining companies are trying their best to get to know more details about the various components because they may discover more minerals in the long run that will make the mining industry even bigger than what they expected.
