The ale and the beer are two different beverages, although they may seem similar to each other. Ale is known to be fermented with top-fermenting yeast. In order for this to work, this has to be prepared at a warm temperature. Beer lagers, on the other hand, would need to be fermented with yeast at cold temperatures.
A lot of people can usually appreciate the ale better probably because of its sweet notes. People can appreciate the flavor more, especially if they are trying to drink an alcoholic beverage for the first time. Take note that even if ale is considered to be sweet, it still has an agent that is supposed to make the taste slightly bitter.
