There are people who may get confused with the differences between biology and botany. When you say biology, you are referring to the study of life but this will have a larger coverage. It will cover wildlife and different types of animals. When you say botany, you are referring more to the study of the various plants that are available in this world.

Take note that the number of plants that are available right now is considered to be uncountable because there are just so many that are available. Botany will be more focused on the different properties of plant life and the phenomena that are being exhibited by the different available plants.
