MCB and MCCB are both circuit breakers, but they are quite different in the way they function, which also determines how and what you use them for. But before we proceed further, you should understand that MCCB simply stands for Molded Case Circuit Breaker, while MCB simply means Miniature Circuit Breaker.

The major thing that differentiates between the two is their capacity, where the MCB can provide an interrupting rating of 18,000 amps, a normal rating of under 100 amps. You may also not be able to adjust their trip characteristics since they cater basically too low circuits. Conversely, the MCCB can provide a current that would be as 10 amps or as high as 2500 amps.

They can provide an interrupting rating that ranges between 10,000 amps and 200,000 amps. For MCCB, you can adjust their trip, especially for the higher models. Hence, you can install the MCB for your home use, while the MCCB is highly recommended for industrial use.

MCCB and MCB are both circuit breaker, which is reinstalled by professionals. Although most people are confused about their differences there are still some specific differences between them. Both MCCB and, MCB is highly durable and can last for years depending on the manufacturer.

MCCB stands for molded case circuit breaker. MCCB comes with an adjustable trip characteristic for higher models, it provides amps as high as 2,500 and as low as 10. MCCB is more suitable for providing energy for high power equipment. They are mainly used for commercial and industrial purposes.

MCB stands for miniature circuit breakers. MCB is rated under 100 amps with an interrupting rating of under 18,000. They are used in the home and also for small electronic circuits because of the low energy requirements.

MCCB and MCB are two types of circuit breakers. MCCB is an abbreviation for Molded Case Circuit Breaker. MCB is also an abbreviation, which stands for Miniature Circuit Breaker. One of the main differences between the two is the capacity that each breaker holds. MCB has under 100 amps.

MCCB is better to use for commercial uses. Another difference between the two is the type of energy requirements that can be in each breaker. MCB is better for requirements that do not require a lot of energy, such as in homes. MCCB is more suitable equipment that have higher energy.

Both MCCB and MCB are circuit breakers. MCCB stands for Molded Case Circuit Breaker, and MCB stands for Miniature Circuit Breaker. The chief difference between the two is their capacity. The MCB ranked under 100 amps with an intruding rating of below 18,000 amps, while the MCCB is suitable for commercial purposes.

MCCB comes with a flexible trip characteristic for the higher models. Generally, this type of circuit breaker would emanate 2,500 or as low as ten depending upon what is needed. MCB is mainly used for low energy requirements, such as small electronic circuits or home wiring. The MCCB is more appropriate for providing energy for high power equipment. Even though MCCB has a higher capacity than MCB, both are classified under low voltage circuit breakers.
