Some people assume that mental and emotional health is the same, but there may be some differences between the two that should be noted. When you say mental health, this refers to the way that you are able to think and process the information that is given to you.
For example, when you are told that you need to do a certain task, you are going to process the details given to you and do the task accordingly. Your emotional health pertains to how healthy your emotions are. You can express your feelings and decide how you are going to react to the information that has been given to you.
A major difference between mental health and emotional health is this. Mental health has to do more with the way you think; it influences your perspective of situations. Emotion health has to do with your dispositions, expressions, or reactions to situations.
They both have links to your mind, but the former is more of the inside, while the latter is more reflected in actions. Also, the effect of your emotional health can be as temporal as possible, while the effect of your mental health can take a longer time and more difficult to alter, unlike your emotional health, which can be easily altered at any sooner point in time.
In the case of issues pertaining to your mental health, they are not easily treated like emotional health. For mental health, you will most likely need to consult medical assistance, while you will most likely be consulting a life coach or counselor for the treatment of your emotional health.
