The main difference between the veins and the arteries are the tasks that they have to do in order to make sure that the body is functioning properly. The vein will be in charge of getting the blood from the organs of the body going to the heart. The arteries will do the exact opposite.
They will carry the blood of the heart going to the other parts of the body. The veins will also have the tendency to collapse if blood flow will also stop. The arteries will continue to stay open while there is no blood that will flow. The arteries are usually positioned deeply into various parts of the body.
Veins and Arteries are both similar in a particular way in that both are blood vessels through which blood is transported to all parts of the body. However, both differ in terms of functions. First, veins are blood vessels that are used to transport blood back to the heart, while arteries are blood vessels through which blood is transported away from the heart to all parts of the body. In other words, while arteries are taking blood away from the heart to all parts of the body, veins are transporting blood back to the heart.
Arteries do not carry ordinary blood; rather, they carry oxygenated blood to all parts of the body. On the other hand, veins only carry deoxygenated blood back to the heart. While pulmonary arteries and umbilical arteries don't carry oxygenated blood, pulmonary veins and umbilical veins don't carry deoxygenated also. Veins are made of up similar tissues like arteries, but arteries contract easily compared to veins.
