The N router is a standard router developed by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics of Engineers. N devices are capable of transmitting data two to four times faster than the fastest G standard. A G router is a standard router developed by IEEE and it is used for wideband digital transmission scheme. However, it carries many legacy issues. N standards operate on both radio frequencies used by Wi-Fi networks. N standard allows the user to switch the lower frequency if more distance is needed between the N router and the Wi-Fi adapter. The G standard came into use rather quickly to answer the consumer’s higher data rates. The G standard came into fruition to become useable for mobile adapter cards, and the G standard was adopted without ratification.

N and G routers are usually considered by people whenever they would need something that will improve the way that they communicate with each other. Between the two, the N router is considered to be better. The N standard router is an upgraded version of the G standard router. The N standard is considered to be the latest one that is being used by the wireless communication standard. Remember that wireless G refers to 802.11g standard WiFi while wireless N refers to 802.11n. The N router is something that was developed recently by the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers)
