Satyrs are creatures best known in Greek mythology, while fauns are best known in Roman mythology. Both fauns and satyrs have a human being torso, a goat’s body, and horns. In the beginning, a faun had human feet. A faun is said to have a significant sexual appetite. On the other hand, Romans had gods who had fauns like bodies named Bona Dea and Rasmus. The Romans believed that a satyr created fear in the hearts of mankind.
A faun is known to advise human beings. Another distinction between a faun and a satyr is the horns. The faun possesses a natural horn, while a satyr must earn the horns. When compared to satyrs, fauns are extremely good looking, pure, and gentle. On the other hand, the satyrs are rather ugly, as they have little eyes, a flat face, an enormous mouth, and a hairy body.
