In the United States today, people use the term sink to refer to washbasins. People in our country use the term sink for washbasins found in their bathrooms and kitchens. In the United States, people use the term lavatory when speaking of a toilet.

A lavatory is used for certain types of washing or cleaning, and since a lavatory may refer to a toilet or bathroom, it is the lavatory where we wash our hands and brush our teeth. A lavatory is also used when speaking of resources in our homes in which we create urine and waste.

A sink, on the other hand, can be used to wash things in general. In our kitchen sink, we will wash our dishes and our produce. Lavatories and sinks can be fashioned from porcelain, steel, and other materials.

Most times, when we see a washbasin anywhere, we are always quick to call it either a sink or a lavatory. While both might have some things in common, they are two different things. A lavatory was originally meant to be used to wash your face and hands. However, the term is now being used to describe a room containing a bathroom or toilet. In the past, the sink is a word used to refer to a waste pit. In some parts of the world, particularly in the United States, the word sink is used to refer to washbasins. The washbasins can be in the kitchen or bathroom. Also, the meaning of the word lavatory has changed to a vessel used to wash people. That is why you can use the word lavatory to refer to a bathroom or a toilet. On the contrary, a sink cannot be used to wash people but can be used to wash other things.

When you say lavatory, this means that you are referring to the bathroom. You may also be referring to a washroom or any room that will have a toilet. When you say “sink,” you are referring to one of the fixtures that you can find inside the bathroom. This will usually be composed of a basin and a faucet and this is where you can wash your hands or your face. The sink can also be found in the kitchen for those who would like to wash their hands or wash some of the items that you have used in the kitchen or some of the fruits and vegetables that need to be cleaned before they are prepared and served.
