Sunni and Shia are two types of religious groups in Islam. Apart from this similarity, there are so many differences between the two. Although both groups believe in a lot of things preached by Prophet Muhammad, there are differences in the ways by which they carry out those practices and beliefs. Shia Muslims believe that only those who are related to Prophet Muhammad by blood are entitled to inherit the leadership of the religion after the death of the prophet, and they always see Ali as the right person for the position.
Sunni Muslims, on the other hand, are Muslims that stand with everything that Prophet Muhammad preached. Shia Muslims are not everywhere in the world, and they don't have the same number of followers as Sunni. They are only in countries like Lebanon, Iraq, Syria, Iran, etc. Sunni Muslims, on the other hand, are everywhere in the world. Although both share the same beliefs, their religious practices are not the same.
