Suras are collections of the teachings of the Prophet Mohammad that divide the holy Quran into various chapters. The suras are said to have been given from Allah to Prophet Mohammad. Meccan Suras make up about two-thirds of the suras who were preached to while residing in Mecca, and the additional one-third of Suras were brought when he was in Medina.

In Meccan Suras, Prophet Mohammad was the one who had been anointed to come and warn individuals like that of the Prophets Jeremiah and Isaiah. The people of Mecca worshipped one God with respect to the bible. In Medinan Suras, numerous sections warn Muslims to evade the Jews and Christians.

Suras were the collections of the words of Prophet Muhammad when he was on earth. Sura is a methodology used in separating the letters of the Quran. About two-thirds of the Quran contains the Meccan Suras, while the Medinan Suras take the remaining one-third. The simple difference between the Meccan suras and the Medinan Suras is the place where they were being spoken. Prophet Muhammad gave the Meccan Suras in mecca, while he gave the Medinan Suras in Medina. The Medinan Suras are known to be quite a long one, while the Meccan Suras are generally short. The Meccan Suras contain resonant of the pagan soothsayers that commence with vows or oaths that involved celestial objects like stars. The Medinan Suras, on the other hand, entails the short span of the history of the earlier laws, prophets, and criticisms against Jews and Christians. The Meccan Suras tend to be directed to the people in general, while the Medinan Suras are directed to the Prophet's followers.

Meccan suras are considered to be a large part of the suras that Muhammad has supposedly preached when he was still in Mecca. Take note that Muhammad is considered to be the last known prophet. According to the studies of people, there wouldn’t be another prophet after Muhammad.

Take note that Meccan suras are considered to be short while the Medinan suras are considered to be longer. According to the Meccan sura, Muhammad considered himself to be one of the three prophets that were sent by the Lord together with Isaiah and Jeremiah. In Medinan suras, there are not enough details about it. Take note that in Meccan suras, there are some details about the Bible.

Suras are considered by the Islamists to be the collection of the words spoken by the Prophet Muhammad as bestowed from Allah. Moreover, Meccan suras are the ones spoken in Mecca, which takes about two-thirds of the whole suras, while Medinan Suras are the spoken words of Prophet Muhammad in Medina, which takes about one-third of the suras.

The Meccan suras, though more in quantity, but they are short ones, while the Medinan suras are prolonged ones. The Meccan suras are a remembrance of pagan soothsayers, which commences with oaths of which celestial objects are involved, such as stars. The Medinan suras, on the other hand, are collections of the history of the earlier laws and prophets, including the criticisms against Jews and Christians. In the Meccan suras, Prophet Muhammad described himself as other prophets, such as Isaiah and Jeremiah. He also referenced the Bible and gave respect to it. The Medinan suras are more directed to his followers.
