Yes, there is a gender gap in Ireland. Gender equality has not yet been fully achieved, as it seems the women do not have full expression as the men. The pay for women is a percentage lesser than the pay for the men. As a matter of fact, the woman is not really involved or not having an equal place when it comes to several sectors in Ireland. Taking a look at the political sector, to the business sector, to health, education, and economic participation, the men seem to have dominated the whole sector, while the women are not finding it easy to penetrate and make an impact in these sectors.

This gender gap has actually been a long time ago, most likely due to the culture of Ireland. This is actually decreasing even as the government of the nation has drawn attention towards the gender gap. Hopefully, this will be fully addressed, and the gender gap would be closed in a few years to come.
