Steve Burke is a well-known American businessman. He is currently the chairman of NBC Universal. He was born August 14, 1958. Steven Burke is the son of the late Daniel Burke who also was a popular American television executive. Steve Burke graduated from Colgate University as well as Harvard Business School. Before Steve Burke became the chairman of NBC Universal, he served in a number of positions.
He began his career as an associate product manager at General Foods. Between the years of 1986 and 1992, he worked at The Walt Disney Company. He served as the President and COO of Euro Disney from 1992 to 1996. In 1996, ABC network was purchased by Walt Disney Company and Steve Burke became the Vice President of the company. A year later, Steve became the President of ABC network. He served as President of Comcast Cable from 1998.
