Attention Deficient Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a mental health disorder that generally affects children and teenagers, and it may persist throughout lifespan. A child with ADHD shows a lack of attention, forgetfulness, and hyperactive, impulsive behavior. These symptoms can observe as early as age 3. The symptoms of ADHD can be mild, moderate, or extremely severe. ADHD may continue to adulthood, but the symptoms may vary. Symptoms of ADHD may become fewer as they grow older.
ADHD is classified into three types based on how the child behaves. Here are the three types: ADHD, impulsive/hyperactive type: is characterized by impulsive and hyperactive behaviors ADHD, inattentive/distractible type: this type is characterized by inactivity, and they are easily distracted. ADHD, mixed type: this is the most common type. The affected child is impulsive/hyperactive behaviors as wells as inattention, and they are easily distracted.
