All the days of the Hanukkah festival are important. Hanukkah is celebrated for eight days because the Maccabees (Jewish warriors that fought the Syrian army during the reign of Antiochus IV) had enough oil to light the rededicated temple for one night, but miraculously, the oil lasted them for eight days.
This explains the reason why one candle is lit every night of the festival. The Menorah has nine prongs, and the one in the middle is known as “Shamash,” which means helper. It is used to light other prongs. On each night of the festival, one candle is added to the Menorah. The Menorah is lit from left to right.
In summary, all days are important. No day is set aside as more important or less important during Hanukkah.
All of the days of Hanukkah are considered to be important, but they do have some traditions that they can consider to be more important than others. For example, one of the most important things for them is the lighting of the Menorah. Some people may see this as an object that is somewhat similar to a candelabra.
The main reason why this is lighted is to signify all of the triumphs in the religious and military sectors of the Jews during the early times. During Hanukkah, there are still other traditions that are being done. There are some blessings that are spread out to ensure that people will get the best blessings that they would like to receive.
