Most people who have prediabetes may not even realize that they are experiencing some signs and symptoms. One of the most obvious signs that people can look for is when a certain portion of their body starts to darken when it is not normally so dark. For example, some may have darker necks as compared to the rest of their body. Some would have darker elbows and knees.
There may even be some people who may develop darker knuckles. If there were some symptoms, people would need to watch out for the following: increased thirst even if they have just drunk water. Some would also urinate more probably because of the increased drinking of water. Blurred vision may also be experienced.
Prediabetes is a condition when your blood sugar level is on the high side, higher than normal but not high enough to be diagnosed as diabetes. Prediabetes occurs when your body does not make or is resistant to the hormone, insulin. Generally, prediabetes does not have signs or symptoms. Most people do not know that they are prediabetic unless they do a routine blood glucose check. It is possible for a few people with prediabetes to experience symptoms such as: getting a lot thirstier, blurry vision, fatigue, frequent urination, slow wound healing, extreme hunger, and dizziness. If you are experiencing these symptoms, you should see your doctor as soon as possible for medical evaluation.
