Sanna Marin became the Prime Minister of Finland because she won the majority of votes. Compared to her rival Antti Lindeman, Marin had more votes. Marin's win made her not only the youngest Prime Minister of Finland but the youngest Prime Minister in the world.
The Prime Minister position opened up because the former Prime Minister Antti Rinne had to resign.His resignation was due to his handling of the postal strike and how he withdrew support from the Center party. Immediately after his resignation, the Social Democratic Party of Finland nominated Sanna Marin to become their new Prime Minister.
Sanna Marin is a Finnish politician and a member of the Social Democratic Party. She started performing leadership roles at the party level when she was elected as the deputy leader of the Social Democratic Party. She performed excellently well, especially when she had to function as the de facto leader of the party after the then leader of the party fell ill. She got elected into the parliament, and on June 6, 2019, she became the minister of transportation and communications.
fter this, she was selected by her party to replace the last Prime Minister of Finland, Antti Rinne. Antti Rinne was asked to step down by his party. And on December 10, 2019, Sanna Marin was sworn in as the Prime Minister of Finland. With this, Sanna Marin is not only the first youngest Prime Minister in Finland but also in the world. Sanna Marin believes she can create a society that will bring opportunities for everybody.
Sanna Marin became the Prime Minister after she narrowly got the majority of votes against her rival, Antti Lindeman. She became Prime Minister on December 10, 2019. The 34-year-old politician was nominated by her party (the Social Democratic Party) in December 2019 to become the next Prime Minister after the former Prime Minister, in the person of Antti Rinne resigned from this position.
Even before her nomination, Sanna has been a major figure in the Social Democratic Party. Antti Rinne resigned because of how he was highly condemned on how he managed a postal strike. A major factor that contributed to his resignation was the withdrawal of support of the Center party. Before Antti Rinne resigned, Sanna Marin was serving as the Minister of Transportation and communication.
