The Automation system has affected the employment system adversely and positively. Over time, the role of labor has been gradually replaced by machines, which, as such, results in the retrenchment of many workers in the industry today. Although these retrenchments are adverse, nevertheless, it resulted in the employment of specialists with enough knowledge of how to operate these machines.
Beyond reasonable doubt, the number of individuals unemployed due to the provisions of automation is more than the number of the employed. About ten years back before automation fully came into the industry, many retrenched workers protested bitterly since their source of livelihood had been cut short. Automation may come with a lot of benefits, but its effect on employment in recent years has not been really encouraging, but what does it matter to employers? All that matters is the result, and if the result they need is produced due to automation, they have no reason to retract their actions.
