Intermittent fasting is one of the methods that people do right now when they want to decrease their weight. This will work in such a way that the body will be restricted from getting food at certain times of the day so that the body will do ketosis and will eventually burn off excess fat from the body. Most people would have their last meal at 8 PM, then the next meal that they would have is at 12 NN the next day. This has given their body 16 hours to fast. This is supposed to improve people’s health. People can change the time depending on their normal eating schedule, but people are recommended not to eat during the wee hours of the morning as this is the time when the body replenishes all of the lost cells and energy that got depleted during the day.

Intermittent fasting is an eating habit where people regulate periods of fasting and eating. A person can choose to fast in the morning and have their fast meal in the afternoon, and the final meal for the day before 8 pm. Another person can also choose to fast for consecutive days in a week and have a normal eating pattern during the rest of the week. There are different intermittent fasting methods; you can choose anyone that you feel will be effective for you. The aim of intermittent fasting is to limit or control food consumption. Many people are adopting this eating pattern in order to improve their health or for the purpose of weight loss.

Intermittent fasting, also known as intermittent energy restriction, it refers to severely limiting calorie intake during certain days of the week or during specified hours during the day. Intermittent fasting helps you decrease appetite by slowing down your body's metabolism. Intermittent fasting is closely related to the calorie restriction diet. In recent years, many people have been practicing intermittent fasting as a possible means to reduce the risk of diet-related diseases and to lose weight.

However, the long-term sustainability of intermittent fasting remains uncertain. There are three methods of intermittent fasting. These are Alternate-day fasting, periodic fasting, and time-restricted feeding. Alternate-day fasting is the strictest form of intermittent fasting. It involves alternating between a 24-hours (fast day) when the person consumes less than 25% of required energy, followed by a 24-hour non-fasting (feast day) period.
