What is Global Entry?

Global Entry is a type of program that is being offered to various travelers who would like to enter the United States of America. The US of A is known to be a country with strict security measures. Some people would like to avoid the hassle of a complete security check by proving that they are not a threat to the United States through the Global Entry program.

This document is needed at least a month before the person is supposed to arrive in America. There are automatic kiosks that are located within the airport wherein people can enter easily. If you would like to avail of this program, make sure that you are eligible for it even before your expected travel dates.

Global Entry is a program of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). This program allows expediting clearance for low-risk travelers and pre-approved travelers on reaching the United States. When the travelers get to the airport, members of this program can proceed to a Global Entry Kiosk where they will present their passports or their permanent resident card. The traveler will then place their fingers on the fingerprint scanner to complete the verification and custom declaration process. After verification and declaration process, travelers can proceed to baggage claim with their printout. Not only U.S citizens are eligible for the Global Entry program. Citizens from the United Kingdom, Germany, Argentina, Colombia, India, South Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, and Panama are also eligible to enroll for this program.
