How does DoorDash work?

DoorDash will make use of a web interface wherein you can decide to order from different restaurants using your registered account. For example, you would like certain dishes from one restaurant but would also want other dishes from another restaurant; you can place orders from both restaurants with the use of DoorDash.

The company will be able to create the door to door deliveries so that you can receive the food that you have ordered right at your own doorstep. Place an order, and the driver who will also be called the “dasher” will be in charge of getting your order from the restaurants and delivering the food to you.

DoorDash has an app for its services. DoorDash is available in several cities across the United States and Canada. DoorDash works by receiving orders from its customer via its mobile app available both on iPhone and Android smartphones. Every order and delivery made is a way for DoorDash and Dashers (drivers) to earn money. Once a customer places an order, a dasher (driver) claims the order. This driver goes to the restaurant to pick up the order and head to the customer’s address to deliver the order. DoorDash charges restaurants up to 20% of the order fee as delivery fee. Most dasher make between $10 and $25 on every delivery. They can also receive tips from customers.
