Bubble tea cannot be considered to be healthy because it contains a lot of sugar. Some experts say that a small cup of bubble milk tea will be equivalent to a can of soda. Healthy adults are only recommended to eat about eight teaspoons of sugar a day. Those who would eat more than that will be at risk of certain health diseases.

The “boba” alone is known to have 150 calories, and it would not be enough to make people feel full. People usually drink this tea with their food, which can increase the calories that they consume even more. People are only recommended to drink bubble tea from time to time. This is not something that should be consumed several times a day.

Bubble tea is highly rich in calories and carbohydrate, for this reason, bubble tea cannot be termed “healthy”. One serving of bubble tea can contain as much as 400 calories and the tapioca alone contains about 150 calories. Tapioca is a starchy product which is not advisable for people of carb controlled diet. Bubble tea contains excessive amount of sugar which can even be more than the daily recommended quantity for a healthy adult. This can cause a person to put on weight if consumed often. The excessive sugar also poses a higher risk for diabetes, it can also cause tooth decay. Although bubble tea has it side effects, it is also a good source of calcium which is important for many bodily functions. Bubble tea is also low is sodium, as you may know, foods with high sodium diet have been linked to increased risk of hypertension and heart diseases.

Yes.

For normal person bubble tea is healthy, but if you are suffering from some health issues like diabetes, etc, you should consult your doctor for bubble tea ingredients suitable for you. Bubble tea can be customized as per your doctor's recommendations or even as per your choice. Bubble tea can be with milk or without milk, with sugar or without sugar and so on...
