In a nutshell, yes.

A plant-based diet promotes heart health and contains many health benefits, which include: lowering the risk for obesity, lowering the risk for chronic health conditions, and a better way of eating for the environment. Consuming a plant-based diet that includes a rainbow of fruits, vegetables, and healthy fats provides the body with a wide array of nutrients such as vitamins, minerals, fiber, and antioxidants.

The concept of a plant-based diet is to eat enough nutrient-dense foods to curb cravings and fill you up with healthy foods. These foods provide sustainable energy, rather than eating foods that ultimately turn you into a lethargic couch potato. Following a plant-based diet improves overall health.

Mediterranean Diet. Mediterranean Diet is the most accepted plant-based diet good for health. It is considered a healthful plant-based diet. It is one of the eating plans that the Dietary Guidelines for Americans recommend to promote health and prevent diseases. The Mediterranean diet focuses on consuming plant-based foods, such as whole grains, fruits, a moderate quantity of dairy products, vegetables, nuts, legumes, and healthy oils, fish, eggs, and poultry. A plant-based diet is a type of diet that focuses on eating more of food primary from a plant source such as whole foods, fruits, grains, seeds, vegetables, whole grains, legumes, and nuts. These foods are highly rich in fiber, vitamins, and minerals and even free of cholesterol. A plant-based diet is also low in calories and saturated fat. There are different types of plant-based diets. The three main types are:

Lacto-Ovo vegetarians: This plant-based diet focuses on eating dairy foods and eggs but meat, poultry, or seafood.

Ovo-vegetarians: this plant-based diet permits eggs, but all other animal foods are avoided. This includes dairy.

Vegans:It is the strictest of all, it does not permit the consumption of any animal products at all. I believe the first type (Lacto-Ovo vegetarian) is the best option. To some degree, this plant-based diet helps you get some of the vitamins, nutrients, and minerals that are found in animal products and not in plant-based products. This will help prevent possible deficiencies of essential minerals in the body.
