An igloo is a structure that is made of compacted bricks of snow, and it is sometimes called a "snow house." Igloos are entirely built of snow blocks, and the Inuit tribes have mostly formed them. Other Inuit groups have used snow to insulate their homes that are fashioned from different materials like whalebone and hides.

Thus, the construction body is not really a snow-like, but of ice. They are closely packed, and the walls built with compacted snows are made to curve inward. Igloo houses are not always really big; they are usually smaller than normal house construction.
