Carnivores and herbivores are different classifications of animals based on bodily features, functions, and sources of energy. Carnivores are animals that consume the flesh of other animals as food. They have specialized teeth to help with tearing of meat. Their incisors and canine help them devour their prey. Examples are Lions, tigers, eagles, foxes, and sharks.
Herbivores, on the other hand, are animals that consume only plants for food. Herbivores are also known to have special dentition to assist with chewing. They have flat, spade-shaped canines and short incisors to help them grind plant leaves, grains, and seeds. Examples of herbivores include Horses, cows, donkeys, goats, deer, rhinoceros, and so on.
