This year Christmas is exciting for my family. Though last year was technically my daughter's first Christmas, she was only two weeks old and slept the entire time. This year, she is one and is able to enjoy the toys, lights, and themes of Christmas. On Christmas Eve, my in-laws and I are having a pajama party, and we are going to bring Christmas in together.

On the actual Christmas Day, we are expecting family to come by and celebrate with food, drinks, and music. Everyone is looking forward to my daughter, opening her first gifts, and learning about the season of giving.

This Christmas is probably one of the most stressful Christmases that I have ever encountered. It seems that people just do not have the time to make sure that everything will be okay. I just plan on doing all the things that I have to do while I still have the time, and hopefully, I would be able to pull things off. There are so many tasks that I have to do, but I need to do my responsibilities too as a daughter.

For Christmas Eve, I need to make sure that I will shop for gifts that I have not shopped yet because they would be given during the night time of the 24th. For Christmas, I need to go to church, make sure that all of the gifts are properly labeled so that they will be given to the right people. There are just so many things that I have to do, but it is all part of Christmas and remembering the reason why Christmas exists in the first place.

This year, it has been so hectic running around buying gifts and preparing for Christmas. However, there is far more joy in giving than getting, and picking out the perfect gifts for people is my specialty. I can’t wait to give out presents! On Christmas day, I am spending the holiday with my parents and our two feisty but loveable ragdoll cats.

I plan on chilling out in my pajamas for most of the day. We will watch something Christmas themed and lighthearted, such as Peanuts Christmas or The Grinch. I might help my mom make dinner. I do not eat meat except for fish, so my dinner will be salmon.

This year, my plan for Christmas is really simple. I plan to relax as much as possible this holiday season. Let me mention that my family already has Christmas decorations all over the house. On Christmas day, I will be going for a special Christmas service at my local Church, after which I will enjoy some time with my family. We will probably have lunch together, play music, play games and watch some Christmas movies.

Also, I plan to reach out to many people this year. Christmas is all about love and giving. I plan to go out on December 26, that’s Boxing Day, to give out gift items to the needy. In summary, I will spend Christmas day with my family and spend the day after extending the hand of love to other people.
