Space is more considered to be infinite probably because no one knows if it actually has an end. Still, there are some experts who claim that space is not infinite. Rather, it is quite similar to the shape of a soccer ball. There are different claims about space, but the fact still remains that it would take more research and more tools to understand more about it truly. Some say that while it is finite, it has the tendency to expand, which makes it seem infinite. The universe does not have any center, and it will not have any edges, so it will be impossible for different people to see the edge of space.

A lot of people often get confused about whether space is infinite or expanding. The overall spatial extent of space is considered to be “infinite,” but most experts say that it is more appropriate to say that perhaps, space is expanding. This means that the distance between two objects may increase over time. This can make certain objects become farther towards each other. The solar system is said to be moving through space, and since space is constantly expanding, our own solar system is bound to move for a long period of time. The shape of our space makes it possible for it to go on and on.

There is still not enough information that will prove if space is finite or infinite. We should remember that the things that we can observe are only those that come from an observable universe. There are some speculations that it may be expanding even more over time, but there are not enough details that can prove that.

What is obvious is that space between the various objects is increasing, especially as observers probe further into what we can just see. What makes space possibly infinite is the fact that it is flat. This means that someone could travel in a straight line and go on and on forever.

As of now, people consider space to be infinite probably because only a small percentage of space can be considered as observable. All of the areas of space that can be studied are considered to be finite spaces, but it is evident that there are still so many more that are available in space that people have not discovered yet.

There are just so many factors that can stop people from actually knowing what can be seen in other places. Some say that there may also be some duplicate spaces that are available somewhere in space. There are still a lot of questions that cannot be answered right now. It seems that space is continuously expanding because of the different discoveries that people discover from time to time.
