Are natural disasters normal?

Some people have assumed that natural disasters are normal because they are God’s punishment to those who have done a lot of wrong things. If this is true, though, why are some innocents also affected by natural disasters? The earth moves in such a way that it has its own rotation and revolution around the sun.

Because of the movement process, it sometimes stirs up some things that can only be considered by humans and other living things as disasters because they can cause havoc, damages, and death. A natural disaster is considered to be completely normal. There are just some natural disasters that are happening more than usual because of the wrongdoing of humankind.

The correct answer to this question is Yes. As much as people do not want them to happen, natural disasters are bound to happen. There is no way to avoid a natural disaster because they are the natural part of Earth's movement. Though we can not avoid them, there are things that can be done to prevent so many occurrences.

In this day and age, natural disasters are happening much more than they did years ago. One reason for that is climate change. There are many things that happen in the environment which make more earthquakes, tsunamis, and other natural disasters occur.

The Earth is the planet that is able to sustain life, but there are instances when the things on earth cannot be controlled anymore. The different natural disasters can cause a lot of issues and problems for those who are affected. Hurricane, Typhoons, and Cyclones are similar natural disasters with varying intensities. Earthquake is another example of a natural disaster.

There are some that may not be affected by this, especially when the earthquake is very mild, but strong earthquakes can make a lot of changes to people’s lives easily and immediately. Tsunamis may occur after earthquakes, and those who are living near the sea should be aware of the times when they should start to move away.

Humans have been drawn to undeveloped land and fertile soil, and people are coming out in droves to disaster-prone regions. Overpopulation creates a situation where events such as earthquakes and hurricanes become more frequent and elevated to the natural disaster that takes human life and demolishes land and property.

According to research, the total number of natural disasters reported every year has steadily risen. A percentage of the increase is contrived due to improved media reporting and an advance in communications. Beginning in the 1980s, agencies like CRED and the US Agency for International Development began actively searching for natural disasters. However, about two-thirds of the increase is genuine.

Natural disasters happen even when people do not want these things to happen. They cannot be avoided as these disasters may happen due to the earth’s natural movement. There are some reports that are stating though that natural disasters may happen more often now as compared to before, mainly because of climate change.

Since there are many changes that are happening to the environment, the natural disasters that used to be scarce are becoming more frequent. Different places may be subjected to more typhoons and hurricanes. Humanity is starting to interfere with the natural movement of the earth, and it is causing more damage little by little.
