How can a dolphin be trained?

There are a lot of dolphins right now that are being kept in different areas so that they can become trained. The method that they use to make training possible is positive reinforcement. They make sure that animals will be able to keep certain behavior by giving them rewards.

For example, when a trainer is teaching a dolphin to jump, every time the dolphin jumps, then a reward will be given to let the dolphin know that the trainer likes what the dolphin has done. This will prompt the dolphin to continue doing what it is doing to continue reaping the rewards. The time will come when the action will be perfectly normal to the dolphin.

To train dolphins, there are different professional marine trainers who are available. They can be trained through positive reinforcement, which means that whenever the dolphin does something that is in favor of the training that is being done, then they will provide treats. This will make dolphins start to learn how to do different tricks better.

Studies also show that dolphins are very intelligent. There is a very big chance that dolphins can become even smarter than humans because, in their younger years, they already have the brain of a toddler when compared to a human’s thinking capability. This is not thoroughly confirmed yet, but they may be the animal that will have the closest thinking capacity as to that of a human.
