There are many reasons why President's Day is celebrated. The day started as a way to honor the first President of the United States, George Washington. As the years have gone on, the day has expanded into a way to celebrate all presidents who have held the title. The President is seen as the leader of our country and the voice that sets the tone for our nation.
The President has many responsibilities, including the commander in chief of the military, maintaining peace in the country, and keeping/creating relationships with other nations. Despite any political differences, the President is there for us all, and each February, we use this day to honor him.

There was a time when Presidents Day was a day that was celebrated to honor George Washington, but over the years, it has become the day when America would commemorate all of their past presidents. There are many things that the past presidents of the United States of America made it the type of country that it is right now.
The presidents have contributions of their own, and although they also have their own controversies, people choose to remember the things that they have done in order to make America great. There are some states that may choose the president that they would celebrate the most. It will be different from one place to another.
