Air pollution is very bad for us. Being exposed to air pollution will allow people to become more at risk of acquiring certain types of diseases. For example, there are some that will have a higher chance of getting cancer. Some may suffer more from different heart diseases, stroke, respiratory diseases, and asthma.
It is important that people will limit their exposure to air pollution so that they will have a higher chance of staying healthy. People who live in polluted places may also experience premature death as compared to those who are living in places that are still considered to have healthy air. There are times when the air becomes so polluted that you can already see the pollution with your naked eye even before you smell it.

The Clean Air Act facilitates that EPA will work with state, local, and tribal governments and other federal agencies to decrease air pollution and the damage it causes. Studies have also indicated that some pollutants can be dangerous even at very low levels.
