What is Ayodhya Verdict 2019?

The Supreme court presented the verdict on the decades-long Babri Masjid case on November 9, 2019. The legal battle of the title argument is between Hindus and Muslims. They claim that the land is the birthplace of Lord Ram.

In December 1992, the Babri Mosque was dismantled by Hindu karsevaks in Ayodhya, which led to one of the nastiest religious riots in history. Fast forward to 2019.

The court required the Government of India to establish a trust to construct the Ram Mandir holy place and form a Board of Trustees within three months. The government of India will own the disputed land and transferred to the Trust after it’s development.

The Ayodhya Verdict refers to the dispute of the holy site of 2.77 acres in Ayodhya, Northern India. The dispute is between Hindus and Muslims. This dispute has been on for decades.

The Hindus believe that this holy site represents the birthplace of one of the most revered deities in Hindu, Lord Ram. The Muslims also claim this site as a worship center where they have worshipped for generations.

After 9 years that of the Allahabad High Court ruling, a bench of 5 Supreme Court judges was set up for this case in the Supreme Court on January 8, 2019.

On November 9, 2019, the Supreme Court announced the verdict of the holy site. The Hindus would get the entire disputed 2.77 acres in Ayodhya.
