The Ayodhya Verdict refers to the dispute of the holy site of 2.77 acres in Ayodhya, Northern India. The dispute is between Hindus and Muslims. This dispute has been on for decades.
The Hindus believe that this holy site represents the birthplace of one of the most revered deities in Hindu, Lord Ram. The Muslims also claim this site as a worship center where they have worshipped for generations.
After 9 years that of the Allahabad High Court ruling, a bench of 5 Supreme Court judges was set up for this case in the Supreme Court on January 8, 2019.
On November 9, 2019, the Supreme Court announced the verdict of the holy site. The Hindus would get the entire disputed 2.77 acres in Ayodhya.
