Veterans Day for this year will be celebrated on November 11, 2019. This means the celebration is going to fall on Monday. However, if the celebration falls on a Sunday, the following day, which is Monday, will be dedicated to the celebration. It is a federal holiday, which means it is a free day for all workers and students in the country. Veterans Day is a day dedicated to honoring our military veterans for their bravery and tireless service to the country.
It was formally known as Armistice Day, but it was changed to Veterans Day in 1954 so that the celebration will not only be for those who fought during World War I, but also for all the US veterans. Veterans are very instrumental in national security. Most of them have fought and served the country with their lives, and that's why the celebration is not only limited to the living veterans; it also includes the dead ones.
